Pretty normal actually (for me to do “a bit of catching up” when it comes to this blog). Sorry, it is just that I put some pictures on Facebook and then forget about the blog. But, hey, not everyone is on Facebook – so time to update the blog!
SOME SUMMER FUN
First of all, in May we went down to Zions National Park with the Spilker clan (Teresa’s family) for a memorable reunion. We stayed at a fun cabin/family recreation spot called Zion Ponderosa. Then we drove into the park for breathtaking views and a pretty crowded but enjoyable hike.
We went to Park City, UT in June and I got to have my first experience on the Alpine Slide. It was seriously like a sweet, one-person-at-a-time, rollercoaster. And a beautiful area. It was a lot of fun! Side note: I ended up getting way sunburned.
JOB CHANGES & MOVE TO WYOMING
August 22nd is a special day for us because it is the day we met back in 2002. Well, on our 10 year “anniversary” a lot happened. I quit my job at one clinic and accepted a position to start at a new clinic. Honestly, minutes after I quit I was told about a chiropractor in Wyoming that was looking for a good doctor to come work with him.
So on the same day, August 22nd, I switched from Integrated Wellness in South Jordan to The Joint in Sugar House – AND I spoke on the phone with Dr. Mike Davidson in Rock Springs. Turns out Teresa and I were planning on going to the Ranch that weekend (near Fort Bridger) so I arranged to meet him that weekend.
I eventually accepted to work for him and in October we moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming so I could work at his clinic there!
So here is the outside of our Sugar House apartment, and a picture of the inside of the clinic I worked at there.
Here is us on the little Park City/Midway picnic we took in October between Sunday’s LDS General Conference sessions.
The process of packing up for the move, Teresa was a little hungry?
The moving crew – a happy and sad occasion.
Never saw a truck packed up this fast – and we shoved a lot of stuff in that truck!
Outside our Rock Springs apartment (the 1/2 – we were in the basement but it had a lot of windows, so was bright and cheery). And there is a peek inside Davidson Chiropractic Clinic in Rock Springs.
BIRTHDAY and CHRISTMAS
Teresa was creative for my birthday and planted these treats all over the house. Teresa and I joked whenever we would see them. We would imagine all these little Nicolas Cages popping up all over and each saying, “Happy Birthday Jeff!” (in a kind of creepy voice).
This is what our apartment looked like inside.
A couple pictures from our trip to Utah for Christmas.
